Master Feng Shui Furniture for Energy Boost
Feng Shui can help create balance and harmony in your home and workplace. A big part of that harmony is to choose the right furniture, which impacts the flow of energy or “Chi” in a room. This can either make the overall Feng Shui of the space better or worse. Here is some advice I provide to staging companies and new home builders for choosing the right furniture for Feng Shui.

Shapes
First and foremost, it’s important to consider the shape of the furniture. Each shape has its own unique energy. Round or circular shapes promote creativity and balance. Square and rectangular shapes promote health and grounding. Triangular shapes promote fame & reputation. Keep in mind the energy you want to promote in the room and choose furniture accordingly. Also be sure to follow the Bagua when choosing shapes for different spaces.
Size
Another important factor to consider is the size of the furniture. Furniture that is too large for a room can create a feeling of being overwhelmed. Furniture that is too small can create a feeling of being cramped. It’s important to choose furniture that is proportionate to the size of the room and that leaves enough space for movement and flow.
Material
The material of the furniture is also important to consider. Natural materials like wood and bamboo promote a sense of warmth and comfort. Metallic materials can create a feeling of coldness and detachment. Choose furniture made of natural materials that are comfortable and easy to clean. Keep in mind the Five Elements of Feng Shui (wood, fire, earth, metal, and water). Follow the Bagua and place furniture accordingly.

Placement
Placement is also very important when choosing furniture for Feng Shui. Be sure to place furniture in a way that allows for good flow and movement through the room.
Other Considerations
Choose furniture that is comfortable and functional. Avoid clutter and choose furniture that is easy to use and maintain. Place furniture that is comfortable and inviting to promote a sense of balance and harmony in the space.
Choosing the right furniture for Feng Shui is essential to creating balance and harmony in your home and workplace. With the right furniture, you can create a space that is comfortable, inviting, and in harmony with the principles of Feng Shui.
Next Steps
These furniture tips will help you build a calm space. But this is only one small part of the ancient art and science of Feng Shui, however. Remember, Feng Shui is all about creating balance and harmony in your space. Be sure to listen to your intuition and make changes that feel right for you.

How to Feng Shui a Corner Lot Home for Peace
Living on a corner lot can make your home feel chaotic. In Feng Shui, this happens because streets cross, creating clashing energies. I’m Jessie Kim, a 3rd-generation expert with Ms. Feng Shui. I’ve helped thousands balance their spaces. Here are 5 simple tips to calm your home’s energy.

Corner Lot Cures
- Balance the Conflict: First, fix the clashing energies with balance. Use convex mirrors, wind chimes, or crystals. They deflect bad energy and bring harmony. Place them near the street sides to protect your space.
- Add Water for Better Flow: Next, use water to improve energy. Feng Shui links water to wealth and calm. Add a fountain or small pond in your yard. This softens the chaos and boosts good vibes.
- Bring in Plants for Peace: Also, add plants for calm energy. Feng Shui says greenery brings life and peace. Plant trees or bushes in your yard. They help energy flow and make your home feel tranquil.
- Use Natural Materials: Then, add natural elements like wood or stone. Feng Shui values these for balance. Use them in your yard or decor. This blends your home with nature and steadies energy.
- Create Smooth Paths: Finally, make curved paths to guide energy. Corner lots need flow to reduce chaos. Add winding walkways or hanging plants. They move energy gently through your space.
By implementing these tips, you can use Feng Shui to harmonize the energy of your corner lot home and create a balanced and harmonious living environment.

Use Feng Shui to Fix Front & Back Door Alignment
A front and back door in a straight line can drain your home’s energy. This weakens health, hurts your career, and makes money come and go. I’m Jessie Kim, a 3rd-generation Feng Shui expert. When I consult with home builders, I ensure they don’t build homes with front and back door alignment. But there are so many homes that already have this terrible design flaw. Fortunately, I’ve helped many people fix this issue and improve their lives. Here are five easy ways to stop the energy loss.

Five Cures for Door Alignment
- Block the Straight Path: First, stop energy from rushing out. Build a wall and/or move furniture to break the line between your doors. This keeps Chi energy inside your home and protects your space from draining.
- Use Crystals to Boost Health: Next, place crystals near the doors. They spread out your energy before allowing it to slip out the back door. This helps support your well-being and health. Clear quartz works best to balance Chi.
- Add Mirrors for Career Support: Also, hang a mirror on a wall adjacent to your front door to “push” energy aside. This will have the added effect of improving your career. Keep the mirror clean for best results.
- Redirect Money Flow: Then, guide money energy. Use a small plant or water feature near the doors. This slows the cash drain and brings wealth back. Avoid placing them in line with the path.
- Check Your Bagua Map: Finally, use the Bagua map. Align it with your front door wall. If doors cross key areas, add furniture or decor to nourish them. This restores balance.
Front and back doors in alignment sap your life’s energy. These fixes protect your health, career, and wealth, so please take them seriously!

5 Feng Shui Tips to Attract Love into Your Life
Feng Shui, an ancient Chinese practice, focuses on creating balance and harmony in your environment to improve all aspects of life, including love and relationships. By optimizing the flow of Chi energy in your home, you can also invite romance and positivity into your life. I’m a 3rd-generation certified Feng Shui consultant and I’ve helped countless clients attract love through simple, intentional changes. Here are 5 Feng Shui tips to attract love and enhance your relationships.

1. Declutter Your Space for Positive Energy
Clutter blocks the flow of Chi, creating stagnation that can hinder love from entering your life. A clean, organized space, however, allows positive energy to circulate freely, paving the way for romance. Start by decluttering your bedroom. Therefore, remove old items, unused clothing, or anything that feels heavy or outdated. Additionally, keep surfaces clear and ensure your space feels light and inviting. A clutter-free environment not only boosts Chi but also creates a sense of calm, making you more open to love.
2. Activate Your Relationship Corner (Love Corner)
In Feng Shui, the relationship corner of your home, also known as the love corner, is located in the far-right section of your space when facing into your home from the front door. This area corresponds to the Bagua map’s Love & Relationships corner. To activate it, place paired objects like two candles, two vases, or two pillows. These pairs symbolize partnership and harmony. Also avoid single items in this corner, as they can reinforce solitude. Enhancing this area invites loving energy into your life.
3. Surround Yourself with Images of Happy Couples
Visuals have a powerful impact on energy because we see them every day. Displaying artwork or photos of happy, loving couples in your home can therefore attract similar relationships into your life. Place these images in your bedroom and relationship corner to reinforce your intention for love. Also avoid images of solitary figures, as they may subconsciously signal independence over partnership. For example, a framed picture of a couple walking hand-in-hand can inspire the loving energy you seek. This simple change aligns your environment with your romantic goals.
4. Incorporate the Color Red for Passion
Red is the Feng Shui color of passion, love, and vitality, making it a powerful tool for attracting romance. Add red accents to your decor to activate love energy. Use red pillows, a red throw blanket, or artwork with red tones. If red feels too bold, softer shades of pink also work, as they promote warmth and affection. Place these accents in your bedroom and/or relationship corner for the best effect. Even small touches, like a red candle, can ignite the spark of love in your space.
5. Bring in Fresh Flowers for New Beginnings
Fresh flowers symbolize growth, renewal, and positive energy, making them a perfect addition to attract love. Roses, especially pink or red ones, are a classic choice for romance, while peonies are a Feng Shui favorite for love and marriage. Place a vase of fresh flowers in your bedroom or living area, ensuring they’re vibrant and healthy. Also remove any wilted blooms immediately, as they can attract stagnant energy. Regularly refreshing your flowers keeps the energy of new beginnings alive, inviting love into your life.
Next Steps
By applying these 5 Feng Shui tips, you can transform your home into a magnet for love and positive relationships. The energy in your environment plays a powerful role in your life, so take time to create a harmonious space that supports your romantic goals. Want personalized guidance? Unlock the Magic of Wind Chimes in Feng Shui
Wind chimes are more than just decorative items that produce soothing sounds; they are powerful tools in the art of Feng Shui, and you can use them to enhance the flow of energy in your environment. The gentle tinkling of wind chimes helps to circulate positive energy called Qi (pronounced “chi”). You can strategically place them to attract abundance, peace, and harmony into your home or office.
The Purpose of Wind Chimes in Feng Shui
In Feng Shui, you use wind chimes to activate and enhance different areas of the Bagua map. The Bagua is an essential tool that divides your space into nine sections, each representing a different aspect of life. The sound they produce can dissolve negative energy, attract beneficial Qi, and create a sense of balance and tranquility.
Placement and Purpose
The placement of wind chimes is crucial in Feng Shui:

- Front Door: Hanging a wind chime near your front door can invite prosperity and positive energy into your home. Moreover, they can deflect negative energy from a variety of situations. Consider using a wind chime at your front door if you live on a corner lot, a T-intersection, or a cul-de-sac. I also suggest using them if you live a in high-traffic area like an apartment complex, condominium, or a mixed-use area.
- Windows: Placing wind chimes near windows allows them to catch the breeze and circulate fresh Qi throughout your space.
- Problem Areas: If there’s a space with stagnant or negative energy, wind chimes can help to dissipate and transform it. You should use them, for instance, if you are missing a gua from your Bagua map (typically if our home isn’t shaped like a rectangle) or if your front door opens directly to stairs.
- Backyard: Also consider using a wind chime in your back yard if your home backs up to a heavy traffic area or an alleyway.
Specifics Matter
There’s some debate about the materials and number of rods that you can use. However, I only suggest getting wind chimes with six metal rods.
Personal Touch
Choose wind chimes that otherwise resonate with you personally. The sound they produce should feel calming and pleasant, enhancing your overall well-being.
Wind chimes are a simple yet powerful way to harness Qi. They are only one small part of the ancient art and science of Feng Shui, however. Remember, Feng Shui is all about creating balance and harmony in your space. Be sure to listen to your intuition and make changes that feel right for you.

How to Feng Shui a One-Bedroom Apartment
Feng shui is a traditional Chinese philosophy that focuses on the flow of energy, or “qi,” in a space. By understanding and manipulating the qi in your home, you can create a sense of balance and harmony that can positively impact your daily life.

One-bedroom apartments can present unique challenges when it comes to feng shui. The limited space may make it difficult to incorporate all of the necessary elements. However, with a little bit of creativity and intention, it is possible to create a feng shui-friendly one-bedroom apartment that promotes positive energy and well-being.
Here are some tips for maximizing positive energy in a one-bedroom apartment with feng shui:
One-Bedroom Apartment Feng Shui Tips

- Declutter and organize: The first step in creating good feng shui in any space is to declutter what may be blocking the flow of qi. This is especially important in a small space like a one-bedroom apartment, where clutter can quickly become overwhelming.
- Use the bagua map: The bagua map is a tool used in feng shui to divide a space into nine areas, each associated with a different aspect of life (love, wealth, health, success, career, etc.). By identifying the areas of your room on the bagua map, you can determine which areas you can focus on to bring balance and harmony to your living space. In fact, the bagua map tells you where to apply many of the points below.
- Choose the right colors: Color can have a big impact on the energy of a space, so it’s important to choose your colors wisely. In feng shui, the best colors for a bedroom are calm, soothing shades like blue, green, and purple. Avoid bright, bold colors like red and yellow, which can be too stimulating and disrupt sleep.
- Place the bed in the command position: The command position is the area of the bedroom that allows you to see the door while lying in bed without being directly in line with the door. Ideally, the headboard of your bed will be against a solid wall (no windows or other doors). This position gives you a sense of control and safety, and is believed to promote good sleep. If your bedroom layout doesn’t allow for the bed to be placed in the command position, you can create a faux command position by hanging a mirror on the wall opposite the bed to reflect the door.
- Incorporate plants: Plants are a great way to bring life and energy into a space, and they can also help to purify the air. Choose plants that are easy to care for and place them in the wealth corner of the bedroom (the far left corner from the door).
- Use bedside tables: Bedside tables are a useful and functional addition to any bedroom, and they can also help to create balance in the space.
- Drown out the outside: Use blackout curtains and a white noise sound machine to dampen the light and noise pollution attacking you from outside.
Next Steps
By following these tips, you can create a one-bedroom apartment that is both functional and feng shui-friendly, promoting positive energy and well-being. Remember, feng shui is all about creating balance and harmony in your space, so be sure to listen to your intuition and make changes that feel right for you. This is just the start! There is so much more to an integrative approach of feng shui in rental home living to harness qi (or chi) energy to attract love, wealth, health, etc.
